We now know the cast of the upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King.

And it includes Beyonc.

Disney unveiled the entire cast of its upcoming The Lion King reboot, which hits theaters in summer 2019.

Beyonc will star as heroine Nala alongside Donald Glover, who will play Simba, the movies main character.

James Earl Jones will return to voice Mufasa, while Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) has signed on to play the villain Scar.

Keegan Michael Key, Seth Rogen and John Oliver have also joined the cast.

Rumors about the cast have circulated for months, but theres been little confirmation until now.

The new film will be much like the live-action remake of The Jungle Book, which had major actors voicing computer-generated animals.

It is a director's dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life, director Jon Favreau said in a statement, according to BBC.

Footage from the film dropped at the Disney D23 convention. It showed real-life African landscapes and animals, and ended with a breathtaking moment familiar to Lion King fans, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original Lion King film drew $968 million worldwide at the box office.
