Golden Globes winner Ewan McGregor recently maybe addressed some potentially crucial Star Wars rumors.

McGregor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the three Star Wars prequel films (and even reprised the role, briefly, in The Force Awakens), told reporters at the Golden Globes on Sunday that he would love to play the character again someday.

Its just that. Theres a lot of talk. Id be happy to play him again. I dont know any more about it more than you do, he said.

Rumors about a potential Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff film began back when Disney announced it would have one-off Star Wars films, such as Rogue One and the forthcoming Solo film, which will focus exclusively on Han Solo.

More recently, a rumor back in August suggested that director Stephen Daldry (The Hours) could direct the Obi-Wan spinoff film.

And, as Uproxx reported, McGregors recent beard style and training habits point to a return to the Star Wars role.

McGregor also took time to comment on the most recent Star Wars film, The Last Jedi. He said he approves of the film.

I saw the new one over Christmas," he said. "I thought it was really, really beautiful. I loved it.

As we await more news about an Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff movie, Star Wars fans will have a chance to see a Han Solo spinoff film in May. The "Solo" film will be released May 25. No trailers exist for that movie yet.
