Apple has reportedly fired an engineer after his daughters video of an iPhone X went viral over the weekend, according to The Verge.
Brooke Amelia Peterson shared a video earlier this week in which she visited the Apple campus to see her father. While on the trip, she received an iPhone X, which she shared and displayed in her video.
The video spread wildly on YouTube.
According to The Verge, filming videos on Apples campus is prohibited, while showing off the new phone is a definite rule violation.
In a follow-up video, an upset Peterson said her dad was fired as a result of her sharing the new iPhone X in one of her videos.
Apple later asked her to remove that video.
She said she and her family are all OK, but stunned by the turn of events.
Her Facebook page has been flooded with negative comments about how her video led to her fathers firing.
Weve seen this story before. Back in 2005, Microsoft fired an employee after his son posted photos of the Xbox 360 before it was released.
