No one wants to get a stuck on a plane. But Delta makes it seem like a tasty option.

According to The Huffington Post, hundreds of Delta flights faced delays on Wednesday because of severe thunderstorms in the area.

Delta combated the delays by providing free pizza for stranded passengers at multiple airports, spokesman Michael Thomas told The Huffington Post.

Thomas said more than 800 pizzas were distributed in airports across the South. In Nashville, travelers received foot-long subs, while those in Panama City, Florida, got chicken biscuits.

We empower our agents and airport station leaders to find ways to take care of our customers when irregular operations disrupt travel, Thomas said.

Twitter users shared images of the impromptu pizza parties.
