Alberta G. Delgado, 87, died on Oct. 20 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita. She was born April 23, 1924 at Hoisington, the daughter of Vincent and Alejandra (Gonsalez) Gutierrez.

She married Julian Gonsalez "Pancho" Delgado May, 1941 at Great Bend. He died Oct. 5, 1999.

She was owner and operator of Pancho’s Restaurant, creating a legacy of other restaurants for two sons, Kiowa Kitchen and Delgado’s and Anna Rocio Contrares and Los Dos Potrillos.

Mrs. Delgado was a lifetime Great Bend.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by four sons, John Henry Delgado of Great Bend, Frank Delgado of Great Bend, Guy Vincent "Beaver" Delgado of Great Bend, Alexander Delgado of Great Bend; two daughters, Julie Anne Jones of Hutchinson and Martha Croy of Seagoville, Texas; one brother, Daniel Gutierrez of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Norma G. Mounkes of Great Bend, Katherine Vesta of Great Bend and Dolores Lapka of Great Bend; twenty grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-granchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Ishmael Gutierrez; one sister, Lucille Pauline Zero; and one grandson, Curtis Delgado and one great-granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Delgado.

The altar society rosary will be at 4 p.m., today at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice or Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
