ELLINWOOD — Alexander Ray Thomas, 24, passed away on Oct. 20, 2016, in rural Stafford County. Alex was born on Nov. 22, 1991 in Great Bend, to Daniel Thomas and Sheryl Watts. He was a lifetime Ellinwood area resident where he graduated from high school in 2010 and worked as a farm hand in the area.
His memberships include St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Future Farmers of America. He was a kind and generous man who made the best of every situation and loved to be on the farm or brightening the lives of family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Thomas; mother, Sheryl Watts (Travis); sisters, Krystal Woodral (Jeff), Abigail Watts, Shay Lopez (Joel); grandparents, Robert and Margie Thomas and Bev and Rocky Bownes; nephews, Jacob and James Lopez; and a niece, Atilyn Woodral.
A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein presiding. There will be a Rosary/Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Alexander R. Thomas memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
