Alice “Beth” Elizabeth Cacek (nee Burton), 60, of Great Bend, Kan., passed away Nov. 19, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Hospital, Hutchinson, Kan.
Alice was born in Kansas City, Mo. on Aug. 3, 1959. She graduated from Oilton High School in Oklahoma, and received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Oklahoma State University.
Alice enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Alice loved butterflies and angels, and collected Coca-Cola memorabilia. She was actively involved in Barton County Relay for Life.
Alice is remembered with love by her companion Jonathan Lipe of Great Bend, Kan.; her children Christifer (Rachel) Burton of Neenah, Wisc., Mechell (Frank) Miguel of Great Bend, Kan., and Justin Cacek (fiancé Jennifer) of Marysville, Kan.; grandsons Joshua Patton and Daniel Aldridge of Great Bend, Kan.; brothers Hubert Burton of Stillwater, Okla., and Bill (Beckie) Burton of Cushing, Okla.; nephews David and Terry Burton, Casey (Miranda) Simpson, and Derek (Amanda) Burton; as well as extended family and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Barbara Wallis and George Burton, and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration and remembrance of Alice’s life will be held Dec. 5, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Front Door Community Center, 1615 10th Street, Great Bend, Kan. There will be a brief service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date. Cremation was handled by Wulf-Ast Mortuary in Garden Plain, Kan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with the costs of the funeral. Donations and cards may be sent in the care of Mechell Miguel to 2209 Tyler Street Great Bend, KS 67530.
