Alta Grace Fry, 102, passed away April 11, 2024, at Medicalodges of Great Bend, Kan. She was born on Oct. 15, 1921, in Harper, Kan., to Ruben and Lucinda (Neuhouser) Weaver. Alta married LeRoy Fry on Nov. 20, 1946, in Salina, Kan.

A resident of Great Bend since 2017 coming from Elk Falls, Kan., Alta spent her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel Church in Elk Falls. Alta enjoyed hosting family get togethers, quilting, playing card games, and loved music and singing.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Fry and wife Joyce of Great Bend, Steven Fry and wife Jane of Elk Falls, and Brian Fry and wife Cindy of Hutchinson; a step-daughter, Carri Fox of California; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Goode of Virigina. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and 12 siblings.

Memorial service will be held on May 18th in Elk Falls, Kan. Memorials have been designated to Medicalodges of Great Bend, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
