Amber Dawn Wilson, 42, passed away Nov. 8, 2021, at her home in Great Bend. She was born Oct. 24, 1979, at Enid, Okla., to Gene and Jana Sue (Chance) Wilson.
A Great Bend resident for the last several years, Amber worked for Wendy’s. She enjoyed coloring and drawing but was also known to write poetry and Bible verses. Amber was known for her love of perfumes and fragrances and you could always tell when she walked into the room. She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews whom she adored dearly.
Survivors include: her father, Gene Wilson of Newkirk, Okla.; three sisters, Kristy Blazek (Eric) of Hoisington; Tonya Wilson (Gregg Adamson) of Enid, Okla.; and Tori Smock (Garrett) of Springfield, Mo.; her nieces and nephews, Kelsea Wagner, Karissa Wagner, Kaleb Blazek, Jynna Adamson, Kyler Adamson, Mando Smock, Raiden Smock and Olive Smock; five great-nieces and nephews; and longtime companion, Pete Brown. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jana Sue Chance.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Memorials have been designated to the Amber Wilson Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
