CLAFLIN — Andrew M. “Andy” Luebbers, 53, died June 27, 2012 at his home in Claflin.
Born Aug. 16, 1958, in Hoisington, he was the son of Joseph and Martina (Younger) Luebbers. A lifetime resident of Claflin, he was employed by Superior Essex, previously by Cashco.
Mr. Luebbers was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Claflin. Andy enjoyed music, serving many years in the church choir.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael Luebbers and wife Dawn Dupler, Ballwin, Mo., and Bill Luebbers and wife Becky, Hoisington; a sister, Susan Weber and husband Roy, Hoisington; a nephew, Chris Weber and wife Anne; three nieces, Tracey McKenna and husband Brett, Corliss Neithamer and husband Ben, and Riley Luebbers; and one great-nephew, Tate McKenna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin officiated by Father Charles Mazouch. Burial will be at the Claflin Cemetery. A vigil service with Knights of Columbus rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Claflin Ambulance Service or Immaculate Conception Church in care of the funeral home.
