ST. JOHN — Ann Kathleen Raven, 82, died Aug. 10, 2011 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, Mo.
She was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Bushton, the daughter of George and Laura Clair Feist.
In 1946, she graduated from Bushton High School. She married Meryl W. Raven on June 14, 1948 in Bushton. He died on Aug. 20, 2005. She was a homemaker and worked many years at the old St. John city library, and later at the Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library.
Mrs. Raven was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, the St. John Altar Society, and Rebekah Lodge. She volunteered her time to various service organizations throughout the years in St. John.
Survivors include four sons, Mark Raven, Corydon, Iowa; Kevin Raven, Lenexa; Jason Raven, Hays; and Lance Raven, Nevada, Mo.; a brother, Jack Feist, Willis, Texas; a sister, Charlotte Kartsonis, New Port Richey, Fla.; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Meryl Raven; a brother George Feist; and sisters Mary Findley and Peg Hosman.
A funeral mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15 at the St. John The Apostle Catholic Church with Father Floyd McKinney, celebrant. Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Minnis Chapel in St. John, where a Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be at the Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John.
Memorials are suggested to the St. John Altar Society in care of the funeral home.
