GREAT BEND — Audrey Ann Batchman, 80, died July 27, 2016 at her home in Great Bend.
She was born March 6, 1936 at Great Bend, the daughter of Harold Henry and Ella Margaret (Svatos) Geil.
She married Darrell Otis Batchman Aug. 7, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Albert, Kansas.
She worked for the Larned State Hospital for 30 years, retiring as an Activity Therapist. Following retirement, she worked at the Center for Counseling. Mrs. Batchman was a lifetime Barton County resident, living in the Pawnee Rock and Great Bend area. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, south of Albert. She enjoyed horses, and reading science fiction and murder mysteries.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell Otis Batchman, of the home; a son, Richard Batchman and his wife Debbie, Ellinwood; three grandsons, Christopher Batchman and companion Alexandria Stimpson, Bryce Batchman and his wife Lindsey and Eric Batchman; seven great-grandchildren, Isaac Stimpson, Bradyn Batchman, Camryn Batchman, Alexander Gage Batchman, Avigeil Batchman, Jack Batchman and Oliver Batchman
A Prayer Service is scheduled at 7 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. A Funeral Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with The Reverend Shelly Klingensmith officiating. Interment will be the Great Bend Cemetery North. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorial Funds are suggested to the Albert Fire Department, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
