Audrey Faye (Shepherd) Nusser 1938 - 2015

ST. JOHN — Audrey Faye (Shepherd) Nusser died on July 5, 2015, at her home in St. John. Born June 14, 1938, in Sylvia, she was the daughter of James and Mildred Shepherd. She was a resident of St. John since 1968 having worked for First National Bank in St. John for 30 years. On June 16, 1956, she married Lee Eldon Nusser in Sylvia. He preceded her in death in 2003.  
Mrs. Nusser was a member of the First United Methodist Church, UMW, Red Hats, Martha Rebekah Lodge#425, St. John Booster Club, Election Board, Progressive Mother’s Club and volunteered at the local Thrift Store.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Nusser (Janice) of St. John, and Kelly Nusser (Beth) of Lyons; a daughter, Lori Nusser of St. John; two sisters, Joy Moeckel (Bud) of Hays, and Sharon Smith of St. John; and six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband; two brothers William and Myron Shepherd; and three sisters, Marilyn Kaye, June and Janie.  
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in St. John with Pastors Nate Gift and Robbie Fall presiding. Burial will follow at the Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John. Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, USD 350 Education Foundation or Gentiva Hospice all in care of the funeral home.
