WAKEENEY — Bernie Beydler, 74, died Jan. 24 at the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. Born July 30, 1936, in Delta, Colo., he was the son of Bernard Beydler and Louise Welsch Beydler. On Nov. 23, 1954, he married Twila Bartley in the First Christian Church in Oceanside, Calif. He was employed by a trucking company in WaKeeney for many years.
Mr. Beydler served in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Twila Beydler, of the home; three sons, Larry Beydler, Gary Beydler and Alvin Beydler, all of WaKeeney; a daughter, Rhonda Whisler of WaKeeney; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Beydler and Alvin Beydler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney. Military rites will be performed by the United States Marine Corps. Friends may visit from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
