KINGMAN - Betty Baird, 63, passed away Friday July 24, 2020, at Wheatland Health Care in Kingman. She was born May 2, 1957, in Great Bend the daughter of W.E. and Theresa (Herrman) Lewis. She married Robert Baird November 15, 1987 in Great Bend. He passed away September 13, 2010.

Betty has been a resident of Kingman for three years coming from Pratt. She was a bookkeeper for Nicholas Water Service. Betty was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Pratt and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Auxiliay and the Elks Lodge in Pratt. She enjoyed being outside gardening and fishing. She loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Wes Cherry and wife Amy and Austin Caruthers and wife Tracy all of North Dakota; one daughter Leslie Cherry and fiancé Rick Harrison of Kingman; two brothers Leon Lewis and wife Della and Ronny Lewis all of Wichita; one sister Dorothy Neidens and husband Don of Great Bend; eight grandchildren Dalton, Destiny, Austin, Heather, Brandon, Cody, Kelby, and William and one great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, husband and two grandchildren

Memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family. Cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Betty Baird Funeral fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
