GREAT BEND — Betty Lou Rand, 85, died July 15, 2015, at OU Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Born Jan. 8, 1930 in Lamar, Colo. she was the daughter of Hiram Franklin and Nola Esther (Gideon) Rutter. On April 17, 1949, she married Doyle Rand in Coats. She and her husband owned and operated Rands Properties. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard and business endeavors.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle Rand, of the home; a son, John Rand and his wife Terri Jo, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Elaine Rand, Great Bend; three grandchildren, Tyler Rand, Eric Rand and Dylan Rand; and a great-grandchild, Brayden Powell-Rand.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paden officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
