ELLINWOOD — Betty R. Standlee, 88, died Feb. 28, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. Born Nov. 21, 1926, in Russell, she was the daughter of Carl W. and Beatrice S. (White) Kastrup. On Nov. 28, 1942, she married R. D. Standlee in Russell, He died on Dec. 31, 2007. A resident of Ellinwood since 1971, coming from Bristow, Okla., she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Standlee was of the Nazarene faith.
Survivors include one son, R.D. Standlee and his wife Terrie of Enid, Okla.; one daughter, Rose L. Goldsberry of Medicine Lodge; one daughter-in-law, JoAnn Standlee of Ellinwood; one brother, Robert Kastrup of Glen Elder; one sister, Peggy Jones of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandsons; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Standlee; one brother; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Schumacher officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
