CUNNINGHAM — Beverly Jo (Sullivan) Bobbitt passed away at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham on Monday, June 25, 2018, at the age of 81. She was the youngest of four born to Daniel P. and Blanche A. (Mog) Sullivan on Jan. 1, 1937, in Ellsworth, Kan. Beverly started school in Newton, Kan., and finished her education in Great Bend, Kan. She married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Ray Bobbitt in May 1954 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. They had four children. She was widowed at the young age of 39 when Bob was killed in an offshore oil accident in 1976.
She was a homemaker, loved her boxers, provided childcare for many years and even fostered children in her later years.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary Lee Brummer, Danny A. Sullivan, Russell D. Sullivan and James R. Sullivan (half-sibling). She is survived by her children, Alan Scott Bobbitt (Patti) Anthony, Kan., Kathryn Renee Chamberlain (Jon) Baton Rouge, La., Lesli DiAnn Miles (Ed) Canton, Kan., M’Kala Jill Whitson (Ted), Pratt, Kan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family memorial service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hilltop Manor Cunningham, KS for Resident Activities Fund.
