GREAT BEND — Beverly S. “Sue” Krueger, 74, went to be with the Lord Oct. 18, 2013 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 28, 1939 in Crescent, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil and Ona Mae (Wilson) McMillan.
Sue was a resident of Great Bend since 1944, and a 1957 graduate of Great Bend High School. She married Jerry A. Krueger Sept. 28, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died April 19, 2009. Sue was an office manager in the oil and gas industry for most of her career, and worked for Midway Operating, Electra-Log, and Edmiston Oil until her retirement in 2009. She was active in the Desk and Derrick organization and had previously served as secretary.
She was a member of the Church of God and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 180. She loved gardening, traveling, her pets, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sisters, Trisha Birkes and husband Gary, Wichita; Maxine Reece, Yale, Okla.; a son, Chris Krueger and wife Brenda, Great Bend; three grandchildren, Becky Krueger, Denver, Colo.; Allen Krueger, wife Audra and their children Dawson and Lexie, Wichita; and Scott Krueger, wife Shalane and their daughter Kylie, Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home with The Reverend Dick Ogle officiating.  Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home.
