WICHITA — Beverly Sue Leffingwell, age 73, of Wichita, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Mapleton Assisted Living in Andover, Kan. Beverly was born on Jan. 16, 1947 in Richmond, Calif., the daughter of John E. and Doris (LaPierre) Leffingwell.  

After completing high school in Arkansas City, Kan., Beverly attended Business School, in Wichita, Kan. She started a family and owned a Merle Norman Business, in Great Bend, Kan., for 20 years before earning a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and social work. She then began working as a social worker for the State of Kansas. Beverly was an avid collector of post cards and amassed one of the largest post card collections of Moline, Kan. She also served as the President of the Wichita Post Card Club for many years and dedicated her free time to the Post Card Club meetings and shows. She enjoyed studying family genealogy, playing Mahjong, and card games. And, most importantly, Beverly loved being with her family, her precious grandsons, and traveled all the world with them.

Survivors include two children Stephanie Tauscher-Rank and husband Jeffrey Rank, of Harrogate, UK, Eric Tauscher and companion Niki Walker, of Hoisington, Kan.; two sisters Rosemary Santner of Leawood, Kan.. Nancy Shawver of Denver, Colo.; sister-in-law Ann Leffingwell of Louisville, Kent.; three beloved grandchildren, Nathanial, Jacob and Jackson Rank; and beloved nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; a brother John E. Leffingwell; and a daughter Shannon Irene Tauscher.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Moline City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Marriot in Wichita after the graveside service. Memorials have been suggested to the Botanica Gardens of Wichita and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
