HUTCHINSON — Billie Louise Messick Williams, 83, died Aug. 10, at Hester Care Center. Born Dec. 27, 1930, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Lee and Sally LeRoy True. She was a 1956 graduate of Raymond High School. On Aug. 27, 1947, she married Donald F. “Pete” Messick  in Tribune. He died Sept. 18, 1994. Then on Sept. 12, 1998, she married Robert Stanley Williams in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 10, 2013.
Mrs. Williams was a member of  Journey at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church, Youth Friends, Elmdale Senior Center, a volunteer at Reno County Food Bank and RSVP.
Survivors include two daughters, Doneida Baker (Bob) of Great Bend and Sally Prosser (Maurice) of Iuka; two step-daughters, Melissa Hague (Jim) of Springfield, Mo. and Debbie McNaul of Olathe; five grandchildren, Carrie Beach (David), Michelle Mettlen (Jeff), Kyle Baker (Stacy), Brad Prosser (Jennifer), Elesa Veatch (Doug); three step-grandchildren, Trevor Hague (Jessica), Heather Madrigal (Ed), Jenifer Insley (Joe); 11 great-grandchildren, Alex and Annika, Jayln, Makenna and Beau, Ava and Sophie, Dalton and Riley, Chase and Drew; and seven step-great-grandchildren, Holden and Walker, Parker and Davis, Isabel, Oliver and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joe Darren Messick; a brother, Bob True; and a step-son-in-law Gary McNaul.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, at Raymond Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Journey at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church with Pastor Eric Miller presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Reno County or to Journey Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
