OLATHE — Brian J. Yanda, 33, of Olathe, passed away Tuesday evening in a traffic accident. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd St., Olathe, KS 66062-2099. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Private burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cameron and Aaron Yanda Memorial Fund c/o Great Plains Trust Company.

Brian was born Nov. 16, 1976, to Elaine and John Yanda in Quinter. Brian graduated from Hoisington High School in 1995 and Kansas State University Salina in 1997. Brian was a Senior Systems administrator for Populous.

Mr. Yanda was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe. Brian enjoyed spending time building Lego’s with his sons Cameron and Aaron. He was an avid gamer and football fanatic. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Jenny; two sons, Cameron and Aaron; his parents, John and Elaine Yanda; two sisters, Jennifer Michaelis and Melissa Davis; parents-in-law Phil and Linda Nelson; and sister-in-law Kerry Spies.
