SUSANK — Bryon R. Monaghan, 46, died Dec. 12 at his residence in Susank. Born Aug. 14, 1965, in Cheyenne, Wyo., he was the son of Duane Pope and Tammie (Homan) Rausch. A resident of Susank for five years, coming from Albuquerque, N.M., he was a very talented self-employed woodworker and carpenter.

Mr. Monaghan was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his fiancee, Louann Bryant, of Susank; a stepdaughter, Crystal Blackburn; a stepson, Ricky Bryant; his mother, Tami Rausch, of Hoisington; two sisters, Patricia Gallegos, of Albuquerque, N,M, and Shawn Dunlap, of Rudy, Ark.; his grandfather, Jim Homan, of Hoisington; his grandmother, Nadine Monfrance, of Albuquerque, N.M.; a niece, Emily Gallegos; and four nephews, John Gallegos, Noah Gallegos, Nathan Montoya, and Dustin Jahay. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Monaghan.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene in Hoisington with the Rev. Don Fisher officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Bryon Monaghan Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
