Carl Dean Immenschuh 1941-2011

LARNED – Carl Dean Immenschuh, 70, died Oct. 22, 2011 at Promise Regional Hospital, in Hutchinson, of asbestos related lung cancer. Born April 18, 1941, at the family home in Fellsburg, he was the son of Edward and Bernice Ingraham Immenschuh. He attended the University of California-Riverside. On June 3, 1961, he married Vallene Oetken at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. She survives. Carl and Vallene started Pelican Photographics, The Pelican Press and the Kinsley Graphic.
Mr. Immenschuh was a member and a trustee of the Peace Lutheran Church in Albert, Boy Scout Leader, Relay for Life Team, Optimist Club, Larned Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors, and the Advisory Board for the Juvenile Justice Authority, all of Larned.
Survivors include, his wife, Vallene Oetken Immenschuh; two daughters, Lori and husband Bill Rountree, and Lani Immenschuh, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Bert Immenschuh, of Buffalo, Wyo..; three grandsons, Jason Hardin, of Hutchinson, Kelly Arter, of Mayport Naval Station, Fla. and Zackery Arter, of Orlando, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden and McKenna Hardin.
Funeral services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Peace Lutheran Church, in Albert, with the Rev. Patricia Reep presiding. Interment will be at the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Albert. Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, in Larned. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, in Larned.
