Carl Don Nicholas Bradley, Sr. 1948-2014

TRES PIEDRAS, N.M. — Carl Don Nicholas Bradley, Sr., 65, died Feb. 20 at his ranch in Olmitz, Kans.  Born Dec. 6, 1948 at Santa Fe, N.M., he was the son of John Carver and Winifred (Wright) Bradley.
He married Elizabeth Ann Drake April 13, 1967 at Taos, N.M..  He was a self employed welder, mechanic, worked in the construction business, and owned and operated 6 X 6 Rodeo Company, Tres Piedras, N.M. .  He was especially known for raising bucking bulls.  Carl was a member of the New Mexico Rodeo Association, Colorado Rodeo Association, and the Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.  His passions included hunting, fishing, and playing his bass guitar for the band, Country Pride.
Mr. Bradley was a long time resident of Tres Piedras, New Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Bradley, of the home; his mother and step father, Winifred and William Roll of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; a son, Donnie Bradley, Jr. and his wife Tess of Holyrood; two daughters: Pamela Bradley of Mesa, Ariz. and Cathy Canty and her husband Blake of Sanford, Colo.; four sisters: Geraldine Smith and husband Sam of Romeo, Colo., Charlene Wheat of Portola, Calif., Julia Theeck and husband Clay of Brenham, Texas, and Eunice Thichenor and husband Mike, Joplin, Mo.; a foster son, Thomas Romeo and wife Elizabeth, Texhoma, Texas; two brothers: Johnny Bradley and wife Diane of Zapata, Texas and Vaughn Bradley and wife Becky of Antonito, Colo.; two half brothers: Mark Panzer of Santa Fe, N.M. and Carver Panzer of Ariz.  
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Franklin Gonzales and his wife Cassie, Meagon Robacker and her husband Will, Elizabeth Vigil and her husband Daniel, Samantha Howes, Cody Bradley and his wife Sharee, Cory Bradley, Justin Bradley, Whitney Canty, Kelli Canty, Chance Canty, and Ember Canty, as well as eight great-grandchildren: Shay Leigh Vigil, Stetson Howes, Statler Howes, Matthew Bradley, Hagen Bradley, Rebecca Robacker, Tori Robacker, and Clay Robacker
He was preceded in death by his father, John Carver Bradley, a daughter, Tammy Bradley, and by one sister, Emma Dean Bradley.
 Funeral Service will be Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home in Taos, N.M.  Interment will be at Carson Cemetery, Carson, N.M.  Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 27, from 7–9 p.m., at River-Hanlon Funeral Home, with the family present.
