Carl Eugene Maddy, 88, passed away on Dec. 31, 2022, following the passing of his wife, Dolores Maxine (Bauer) Maddy, 87, on July 9, 2022, both at Chisolm Place Assisted Living in Wichita, Kan. They were joined in union on Aug. 28, 1955, in Dighton, Kan., and were blessed with four children, Steven (Clarissa) Maddy of Wichita, Terri Kennard of Wichita, Michael Maddy of Larned, and Lynette Gallentine, whom preceded them in death, plus many other family members.

A celebration of life for the couple will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Golden Belt Memorial Park, with Pastor Matt Wimmer presiding. Honors for Carl will be conducted by both the Army National Guard and the Great Bend Fire Department. Memorials have been designated in Dolores’ name to the Central Baptist Church and in Carl’s name to the Good Shepherd Hospice, all in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
