Carl F. Fry, 54, died Jan. 22 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1956, he was the son of Max Eugene Fry Sr. and Esther Mae (Johnson) Fry. A lifelong resident of Great Bend, he graduated from Great Bend High School. In the 1990s Carl worked at the Brit Spaugh Zoo. He enjoyed animals and bird watching.

Survivors include a brother, Butch and Luanne Fry of Dundee; a sister, Judith Vaughn of Great Bend; nieces; nephews, cousins; and friends, Randy and Dora Hoover, Rory Hoover, Charles Robinson, Shauna McPherson and Judy Bunch. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Max Eugene Fry Jr.

A celebration of his life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at 905 Hubbard in Great Bend. Memorials may be sent to Skil of Western Kansas, 1801 Main Street, Parsons, KS 67357.
