BILLINGS, Okla. — Carol Lea Farmer, 69 of Billings, Okla. was the daughter of August Andrew and Verna Josephine (Mowry) Wise. She was born June 21, 1942 in Hays and died Jan. 4, 2012 at her residence in Billings.
Carol married Lyman Ambrose Farmer on April 28, 1959 in Stockton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1991.
She enjoyed fishing, cross stitch, crocheting and making dolls for her family. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her life-long friend Robert Guertin of Billings; seven daughters, Beverley L. Clark of Marland, Okla., Earlene Dea Naab of Great Bend, Darlene Elaine LaCost of Dodge City, Pauline Faye Brumit and her husband James of Moore, Okla., Melissa Kay Beers of Wichita, Carolyn Dawn Brasher and her husband Donald of Hunter, Okla., Reba Joyce Conners and her husband Donnie of Springdale, Ark.; six sons, Bobby Ray Farmer and his wife Dee of Independence, Mo., Kenneth Ray Farmer and his wife Judy of Delaware, Okla., Larry Dean Farmer and his wife Carol of Springdale, Ark., Charlie Ambrose Farmer and his wife Carolyn of Tonitown, Ark., Ricky Lee Farmer and his wife Catherine of Vian, Okla., Cecil Eugene Farmer and his wife Brenda of Wynoka, Okla.; several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, George Albert Wise of Wichita; two sisters, Virginia McCaughan of Ocean Shores, Wash., and Frances Louise Winston of Texarkana, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Max Paul Nicholson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at the First United Methodist Church in Billings. Rev. Ruth Tipps will officiate.
