ELLSWORTH — Carolyn A. Evans, 76, passed away Dec. 21, 2016. She was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Reno County, to Vera (Glover) and Harry Edwards. She married Ernest Evans Jr. on Oct. 1, 1956, in Haven. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Evans was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ellsworth.
Survivors include her son, Brett Evans (Mindy) of Hoisington; daughter, Angela Mardis of Pratt; three sisters, Peggy Green and Sue Patterson, both of Hutchinson, and Sally Oberle (Norman) of Ellsworth; three grandchildren, Rachel Mardis, Stacey Castle (Zac), and Michelle Cox (Mathis); and three great-grandchildren, Alexander James Caggiano, Silas Neil Castle, and Weston David Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and brothers, Bob and Bill Edwards.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ellsworth in care of the funeral home.
