BRANSON, Mo. — Christie Callaway, 63, died April 15, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born January 17, 1958, in Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of David and Freida L. (Herbel) Callaway. Christie graduated from Hoisington High School in 1976 and later received her nursing degree from Kansas University.
She is survived by: two children; David Bockman and wife Roda of Springfield, Missouri, and Ammie Bockman and significant other Shane Keys of Forsyth, Missouri; a sister, Valarie Knight and husband Jerry of Ozark, Missouri; and an aunt, Jeanette Smith of Hoisington. She was lovingly known as “Gigi” to her three grandchildren, Bralynn, Ella, and Ezra.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Freida Callaway.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hoisington, with Rev. Wayne Baldyga presiding. Burial will follow in Hoisington Cemetery.
