Christine Marie Lichter 1922-2011

OLMITZ — Christine Marie Lichter, 88, died Oct. 18, 2011 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 30, 1922 in Great Bend, the daughter of Albert J. and Frances J. (Rabenseifner) Mauler.
On Aug. 27, 1947, she married Raymond Lichter in Great Bend. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1981. A lifetime resident of Barton County, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lichter was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen F. Churchman and husband Ralph, Salina; and Janice A. Read, Pearland, Texas; two sons, Kevin J. Lichter and wife Lana, Great Bend; and Jody R. Lichter, Olmitz; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Mick, Deborah Nickelson, Ryan Lichter, Jenny Hynek, Tucker Read, Cooper Read and Kenzie Read; and six great-grandchildren, Madison Mick, Kennedy Mick, Evan Nickelson, Ian Nickelson, Brinly Lichter, and Hadley Lichter. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a daughter, Janet M. Lichter.
A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Olmitz. A wake service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington.
