Christopher Wayne Gross, 34, of Great Bend, died Sept. 3 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1975, at Garden City, the son of Steven F. and Sharon Newton Gross. He was a general laborer and a former Pratt resident, moving to Great Bend in 2008.

Survivors include his fiancee, Tanya Slack of Great Bend; a daughter, Ariana Gross, and a stepdaughter, Emily Glickman, both of Great Bend; his mother, Sharon Mercer, and her husband, Darwin, of Pratt; a brother, Rick Mason of Medicine Lodge; six sisters, Barbara Whitten and husband Terry of Haviland, Debra Gossman and husband Jerry of Slocomb, Ala., Jane Condray of Wisconsin, Patricia Gross and Kristina Thorne and husband Willie, all of Ensign, and Carie Gross of Garden City. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Angela Rey Gross.

Following cremation, a memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt. Memorials are suggested to the organization or charity of the donor’s choice, in care of the Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt.
