HOISINGTON — Clara R. Steiner, 95, died October 26, 2011 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend.
She was born June 9, 1916 at Odin, the daughter of Peter J. and Louisa  (Korkish) Meyeres.
She married Alfred R. Steiner Oct. 18, 1938 at Odin. He died July 19, 1991. The lifetime rural Hoisington resident was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society, both of Hoisington.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Steiner and wife Karen, Overland Park;
a sister, Ann Hitschmann, Odin; grandchildren, Roger Steiner, Cary Steiner, Jill Scaletty, Nicole Oblepias, Thad Steiner; and sister-in-laws, Viola Meyeres and Frances Blazek.
She was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Steiner, three brothers, Frank, Steve and Bill Meyeres, and four sisters, Sophia Habiger, Marie Marquis, Tillie Luerman and Teresa Prosser.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, with Celebrant Father Francis Oroffa. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Friday followed by an Altar Society rosary, all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Interment will be at St. John Church Cemetery, Hoisington.
