LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Clifford “Allen” Scott, 60, passed away Aug. 7, 2017, at his home in Lakewood, Wash. He was born Oct. 31, 1956, in Fort Bragg, N.C., the son of Clifford Sr. and Evelyn Scott and grew up in Great Bend. He served his country in the United States Military, Army branch as a Marksman.
Clifford was a creative soul who had an extensive music collection across many genres. He was a gifted artist and had worked on different canvas sizes and utilized layered mediums. His eclectic taste in the arts, broad knowledge on numerous things, and curiosity of what is current made him the ultimate ‘Renaissance Man.’ He embodied classic masculinity in his uniform of plaid shirts, Carhartt and Levi’s with his Carlos Santana fedora atop his shaven head and scent of incense. He had a penchant for down-home cooking, always testing out new recipes from old cookbooks. He loved technology and always had the latest release of any Samsung product, Bose speaker or Virtual Reality device. During icy winter months in Washington, he would pass out barely used jackets to the homeless without mentioning a word. But what will be missed the most is his sincerity, and the ability to meet a need if he was able. His laughter would fill a room and whose warmth and openness to others extended far beyond immediate family.
He leaves behind his siblings, Craig Scott, David Scott, Pamela Scott, Cynthia Henderson; and his niece Chene’l Scott. Condolences may be sent to Edwards Funeral and Cremation Services.
