Cory Blake Chambers 1973 - 2014

Cory Blake Chambers, 40, died April 14, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Born Aug. 29, 1973, in Homestead, Fla., he was the son of Bryan Blake and Pam (Jones) Chambers. On May 3, 2008, he married Jill Bugner in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 2008, coming from Arlington and the Hutchinson area, he was a fuel truck driver for S&J Trucking. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, reading, gardening, and handyman carpentry work.
Mr. Chambers was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 862, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include wife, Jill Chambers of the home; mother, Pam Christendon, Great Bend; a son, Zachary Blake Chambers. Cunningham; a daughter, Sophia Chambers of the home; a brother, Derek Christendon, Cunningham; and three sisters, Nikki Baker, Pratt, Barbie Everett and Jesse, Isabel; and Kimmie Christendon and Josh Sheets, Great Bend.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery North. A vigil service with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Chambers Children’s Education Fund in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
