Curtis Gordon ‘Curt’ Reynolds

Curtis Gordon ‘Curt’ Reynolds, 72, passed away Dec. 31, 2025, at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on March 13, 1953, in Lyons, Kan., to Brownlee and Eula (Ludwick) Reynolds. On May 20, 2003, he married Patricia ‘Patty’ Arevalo in Great Bend. She passed on Oct. 7, 2019.

A longtime Barton County resident, Curt was an over the road truck driver – proudly earning the honor of going a million miles with no accidents. In his younger years, he played slow pitch softball and was a member of the Jaycees in Great Bend, where he assisted in establishing the beach area and volleyball courts at Veterans Memorial Park Lake. Curt was a master gardener, was talented in home repair, and enjoyed antiques. He loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include son, Adam Reynolds and wife Shelly of Hutchinson; daughter, Kelly Smith and husband Jay of Kingman; two stepsons, Edwin Recinos and wife Susana of Rockwall, Texas, and Diego Recinos of Great Bend; stepdaughter, Patty Grauer and husband Brenden of Great Bend; ten grandchildren, Kyal Irsik, Brent Irsik, Grayson Smith, Sutton Smith, Anthony Recinos, Jeremiah Recinos, Victoria Recinos, Lillian Grauer, Jace Gauer and Salem Grauer; three great grandchildren, Jocelyne, Jacelyna, and Jackson; two brothers, Randy Reynolds of Lenexa, and Chuck Reynolds and wife Debbie of Biloxi, Miss.; two sisters, Belinda Anschutz and husband John of Sterling, and Lisa Reynolds and wife Teresa Walker of Stewart, Fla.; brother-in-law, Don Oden of Alden; sister-in-law, Marilyn Reynolds of Sterling; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, David Reynolds; and sister, Debra Oden.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Megan Peterson presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery North. The family requests that guests dress casually. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, with family receiving guests from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home.
