CLAFLIN — Curtis L. Kaiser, 59, died July 9, 2021, at his home in Newton, Kansas. He was born November 15, 1961, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Royce and Pauline (Adams) Kaiser. Curtis was a 1981 graduate of Claflin High School and then went on to graduate from the North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, Kansas. 

A lifetime Claflin resident recently moving to Newton, Curtis worked as a mechanic for C & R Auto, starting in 1985.  He also worked in the family business, Kaiser Trash since 1973.  

On June 3, 2017, he married Cynthia G. Stuhlmiller at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Claflin, Kansas. 

He is survived by; his wife, Cynthia Kaiser of the home; three children, Ashley Schauf and husband Brian of Hays, Aaron Kaiser and wife Kendra of Claflin, and Casey Webber and husband Catlin of Wilson; stepchildren, Corrine Guglemeyer and husband Jared of Lakin, Vickie Kern and husband Aaron of Newton, Jean Winston and Seth Farrel of Nixa, Missouri, and James Winston and wife Karen of Taipei, Taiwan; his mother Pauline Kaiser of Salina, six sisters, Colletta Gisick of Salina, Connie Hattan and husband Al of Great Bend, Christine Morrison and husband Rick of Maize, Cynthia Wheeler and husband Rich of Hoisington, Clara Oborny of Maize, and Camille Straub and husband DeLos of Salina; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Royce Kaiser, and a brother-in-law, Duane Oborny.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Vigil with Knights of Columbus Rosary will begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 13th, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Family will greet friends at the church starting at 6 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin, Kansas, celebrated by Father Terrance Klein. Burial will follow in Claflin Cemetery.
