Dan Allen Noblitt, 78, died May 4 at his home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 16, 1934 in Great Bend, he was the son of George O. and Edith (Marsh) Noblitt. On April 18, 1958 he married Thelma Beebe in Norwalk, Calif. A long time resident of Great Bend, he was most recently employed as a regional manager for Super 8 Motels.
Mr. Noblitt was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Noblitt, of the home; two sons, Michael Noblitt and wife Vikki of West Hills, Calif. and Robert Noblitt and wife Angela of Great Bend; three daughters, Sheryl Heidler and husband Randy of Lawton, Okla., Diana Ashbrook and husband Mike of Schleswig, Iowa, and Tammy Noblitt of Great Bend; one brother, Robert Noblitt of Gun Barrel City, Texas; one sister, Billie Helen Noblitt of Great Bend; nine grandchildren, Michael Glendenning, Mindy Parkison, Michel Maneth, Kimber Noblitt, Keith Oetken, Ryan Ashbrook, Amanda Ashbrook, Daniel Noblitt, and Jeremy King; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwight Noblitt, Jack Noblitt, George Noblitt, and David Noblitt; and by two sisters, Georgeanna and Edna.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. J.P. McCamey officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
