Danny K. Crane, 62, of Great Bend, died Oct. 26 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. He was born Oct. 22, 1948, at Abilene, the son of Donald and Katheline (Barlow) Crane. He married Hazel Horner on Dec. 31, 1967, at Great Bend. He was publication editor for Lockheed Missiles in Space. Mr. Crane was a Great Bend resident since 1993, coming from Pleasanton, Calif.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Crane, of the home; one son, Marty Crane of Great Bend; one sister, Patty Tompson of Englewood, Colo.; one brother, Steve Crane of Fort Scott; and three grandchildren, Marty Crane, Meghann Crane and Timothy Crane. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Bowles, and a brother, Scott Crane.
A graveside service took place at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fort Scott National Cemetery, with military honors conducted by a Fort Riley Honor Guard. There was no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
