PAWNEE ROCK — Darla S. Belt, 71, passed away June 27, 2024 at University of Kansas Health Systems - Great Bend Campus.

She was born Feb. 6, 1953 in Nashville, Kan., the daughter of Carl August and Florence Evelyn Stillwell Johnson. 

A lifetime area resident she worked at Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility for 32 years. She was of the Christian faith and attended Pawnee Rock Christian Church. She enjoyed arm wrestling, pool tournaments, bowling in leagues and tournaments, playing softball, and spending time at the lake. Her family was her life, she did everything for them. She also took care of her mother and truly loved and cared for her pets. 

In January 1972 she married Clifford Wesley Belt; they later divorced.

Survivors include three sons, Brian (Leila) Belt, Milton, Fla., Ryan (Julie) Belt, Larned, Austin Bryce Belt, Pawnee Rock; daughter, Heather Dawn Hunt, Great Bend; two brothers, John (Diane Morse) Johnson, Great Bend, Howard (Carmen) Johnson, Claflin; four sisters, Carla (Michael) Nutting, Crosby, Texas, Sharla Woods, Larned, Marla C. (Twink) Johnson, Pawnee Rock, Monica Brackbill, Larned; sister-in-law, Lorna Johnson, Wichita; 11 grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Noah, Nick, Trenton, Alexandra, Ian, Devin, Dylan, Carrie, Kyleigh; two great grandchildren, Raelhei and Karter. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank Johnson, Marvin Dean Johnson; and a brother-in-law, William Woods.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Garfield Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Darla Belt Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
