GREAT BEND — Darlene J. Delaney, 77, died March 17, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.
She was born April 7, 1934 at La Crosse, the daughter of John B. and Esther (Foos) Foos.
She married Clayton “Jake” Delaney August 24, 1952 at Bazine. She was a sales clerk for Litwin’s, Great Bend. Mrs. Delaney was a Great Bend resident since August 1960, coming from Ness City. Mrs. Delaney attended Grace Community Church, Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton “Jake” Delaney, of the home; a son, Daniel Clayton Delaney and his wife Diane, Great Bend; a daughter, Sherlyn D. Delaney and her husband Tony Whited, Leawood; four grandchildren, Lindsay Schartz and her husband Darin, Great Bend;  Clay Delaney and his wife Amy, Hutchinson; Matthew Harbaugh, Overland Park; and Mark Harbaugh, Leawood; and three great-grandchildren, Jace Daniel Schartz, Cal Brady Schartz, and Adilynn Leigh Delaney.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Alan Foos.
A Funeral Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at Grace Community Church in Great Bend with Pastor Jay Beuoy officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Ness City Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Grace Community Church or Select Specialty Hospital Employee Activity Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
