Daryl Kent Rexwinkle, 66, passed away Dec. 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on Jan. 11, 1959, in Coffeyville, Kan., to Darrell Irvin and Dixie Colleen (Childress) Rexwinkle.
A longtime resident of Great Bend, Kent worked in the oil field and was a mechanic. He had a great love for vehicles – especially Mustangs – and enjoyed working on them. Kent enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include two sons, Dustin Rexwinkle and fiancé Jamie Bennett of Great Bend, and Skylar Rexwinkle of Lawrence; three grandchildren, Aden Rexwinkle, Tanner Rexwinkle, and Dane Rexwinkle; one great granddaughter, Braighlee Mae Rexwinkle; mother, Colleen Rexwinkle of Great Bend; six sisters, Angela Skaggs and husband Rick of Stilwell, Rhonda Penka and husband Kenny of Great Bend, Kim Stanley of Overland Park, Sherrie Schnoebelen of Lewis, Shelly Coverdale and husband Jay of Topeka, and Dixie Divis and husband Steve of Great Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; grandson, Connor Rexwinkle; and brother-in-law, Mica Schnoebelen.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will take place. Memorials have been designated to the Kent Rexwinkle Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
