OTIS — David Alan Galusha, 31, died Aug. 21 at his home in Otis. He was born May 28, 1979, at Great Bend, the son of Timothy and Connie (Schlegel) Galusha. He worked as a guard for the Larned Correctional Facility.
Mr. Galusha was a lifetime Otis resident and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Otis Fire Department, both of Otis.
Survivors include his father, Tim Alan Galusha, and his wife, Virginia, of Otis; his mother, Connie L. Galusha, Otis; one daughter, Adison Louise Galusha, Great Bend; a half brother, Darrell Tucker of Orlando, Fla.; two half sisters, Deanne Tucker of Orlando, Fla., and Dawn Galusha of Hoisington; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Schlegel of Otis; paternal grandfather, Gerald Galusha of Bellevue, Iowa; and an uncle, Don Schlegel of Otis. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sam Schlegel, and his paternal grandmother, Eraina Galusha.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Otis, with Pastor Bruce Adamson officiant. Interment will be at the Otis Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are suggested to the David Galusha Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.
