ELLINWOOD — David D. Lloyd, 56, died June 15, 2016 at his home in Ellinwood.
He was born Nov. 20, 1959 at Ellinwood, the son of Leslie J. and Alma M. Jenisch Lloyd.
The city of Ellinwood power plant superintendent was a lifetime Ellinwood resident. He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1978, and attended the Law Enforcement Academy at Dodge City.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood, the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency and served 18 years on the Ellinwood Police Department. He served on the Kansas Power Pool Board of Directors and the Power Supply Committee for KPP. He married Kathy Hammeke and they later divorced; He married Dana S. Fischer Aug. 29, 1992 at Great Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Dana of the home; a son, Chad Kaiser, Ellinwood; two daughters, Christa and Charlie Chesmore, Topeka; Cami and Josh Thomas, Ellinwood; a brother, Mark and Lisa Lloyd, Manhattan; a sister, Denise and Ed Bucher, The Woodlands, Texas; nine grandchildren, Ava Kaiser, Landon Kaiser, Mya Kaiser, Kaelyn Weiss, Keely Chesmore, Layton Chesmore, Dylan Chesmore, Lexi Thomas and Remi Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Ed and Edna Jenisch, Anna Jenisch,
Taylor and Zillia Lloyd.
Funeral Services are scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Burial will be at Lakin Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood. Visitation is set from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
