ALBERT — David G. Richardson, 69, passed away Aug. 6, 2016, at his home. Born on Oct. 5, 1946, at Great Bend, he was the son of Harold “Bay” and Georgia (Weiser) Richardson. On March 20, 1983, he was united in marriage to Teri L. Barr at Apple Valley, Calif. The couple lived in Yorba Linda, Calif. prior to moving to Albert in August of 1996. A self-employed carpenter and cabinetmaker, he owned and operated Dave’s Custom Cabinets in Albert for 20 years. Dave enjoyed motorcycle riding and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Teri L. Richardson of Albert; one son, Jackson Richardson and his wife, Shayna, of Albert; two daughters, Dana Blair and her husband, Bob, of Paradise, Calif. and Sarah Comer and her companion, Chris Treadwell, of Goddard; five grandchildren, Alison Walker, Khilie McQuade, David Bivens, Seth Richardson, and Dylan Richardson; one brother, Charles Richardson and his wife Cheryl, of Great Bend; and two sisters, Joyce Kultgen and her husband Richard, of Albert, and Janice Everett of Fort Mohave, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, his twin Dale Richardson and Jack Richardson.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Charter Funerals in Great Bend with Chaplain Larry Schumacher officiating. According to Dave’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Dave would have wanted everyone that attends his Memorial Celebration to be comfortable so there is no need to dress up. Memorial donations may be made in care of Dave Richardson’s GoFundMe Account to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
