HOLYROOD — David N. Presley, 65, died April 30, in Ellsworth. Born May 12, 1945 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Mack Lee and Ruby Jessie (Minor) Presley. On Aug 17, 1990 he married Linda Diane Heglin in Kodiak, Alaska. She survives. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an electrician and recently worked at Orscheln’s in Great Bend.
Mr. Presley was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion in Holyrood.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Jr. of Portland, Ore. and Herbert Jess of Wichita; a brother, Dewey Lee of Leland, N.C.; a sister, Dorothy Keller of Holyrood; a granddaughter, Arianna Presley of Wasilla, Alaska; a grandson, Aaron David Presley of Wasilla, Alaska; and a great-grandson, Timothy Alan White III.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Smoky Hill Baptist Church in Ellsworth. A private inurnment will take place at a later date in Jonesville, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Ellsworth County Cancer Fund, PO Box 45, Ellsworth, KS 67439.
