GREAT BEND — David Patrick Cooley, 60, passed away July 18, 2016, at his residence in Great Bend.
Born March 12, 1956, in Wichita he was the son of Albert and Marjorie Cooley. He was a retired baker. He married Mary Miller and even though they later divorced they remained the best of friends. She survives. He loved to read and watch movies, science books and was an avid water color artist, loved listening to the blues, doing jigsaw puzzles, and was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Other survivors include three sons, Patrick (Kristy), Matt, and Levi; two brothers Terry, Chris (Stephanie); one sister, Diane; and two grandchildren, Aiden and Brooklyn. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Veterans Memorial Park in Great Bend under the large shelter on the southwest side. In lieu of flowers a memorial had been set up and gifts may be made to the Barton County Chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous.
