Debbie D. Depperschmidt, 56, died July 1 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.  Born Nov. 22, 1956 at Parkston, S.D., she was the daughter of Marvin and Geraldine (Bergeson) Dykstra.  She came to Great Bend in 1981 from Mitchell, S.D.  On Nov. 26, 1997, she married Mark Depperschmidt at Great Bend.  She was a homemaker.  She was a Girl Scout leader and a tumbling instructor at Euphoria Dance Centre.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Depperschmidt, of the home. Survivors also include one son, Mark Depperschmidt II and his wife Shayla of Harper, and four daughters: Sara Ehler and her husband Micah of Hoisington; Anne Givens and her husband Robert of Stockton; Jewelia Depperschmidt of Great Bend; and Jennifer Wendel and her husband Lucas of Garden City;  her mother, Geraldine Dykstra-Huss of Franklin, Wis.; two brothers : Steve Dykstra of Franklin, Wis. and Doug Dykstra and his wife Colleen of Pinetop, Ariz.; ten grandchildren: Chandra Ehler, Micayla Ehler, Zachary Gardner, Keely Gardner, Ryleigh Gardner, Kaylee Depperschmidt, Layton Depperschmidt, Addison Depperschmidt, Jaykob Wendel, and Logun Wendel; two step-brothers: Bruce Huss of Wichita, and John Lampe and his wife Lenora, Great Bend, and one step-sister, Jill Herold, Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Dykstra; her step-father, Orville Huss; and sister, Lori Dykstra.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to Euphoria Dance Centre or Jewelia Depperschmidt Education Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
