GREAT BEND – Delaine F. Meyers, age 83, passed away June 13, 2020, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, KS. He was born February 3, 1937, at Plainville, Kansas to Henry and Alma (Dauwe) Meyers. 

“D” as he was known was a long time resident of Great Bend. He worked for Steffen’s of Wichita. He was a member of Prince of Peace Church, St. Patrick Parish. “D” was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. 

He is survived by his wife Donna (Weigel) Meyers of the home and three children, Brenda (Rob) Parrish of Lawrence, Doug Meyers of Newton, and Cynthia Meyers of Great Bend; a brother, Gary Meyers of Plainville, and sister Marlene Dohe of Plainville; grandchildren, Thomas (Weatherly) Parrish, and Sarah Parrish, Kayla (Justin) Seybert, and Katie (Dylan) Sowell, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Meyers, and his brother, Lenell Meyers. 

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at a later date to honor “D’s” memory. Memorials are suggested to the Knight of Columbus or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
