Delfina Matson

Delfina Matson passed away on June 25th, 2018, at the age of 69 at the home of her family in Great Bend, Kan.
Dell was born in Cebu, Philippines to Silvestre and Vicenta (Oporto) Remedio. She married Kenneth Walter Matson in Cebu, Philippians on April 3, 1993. Within a year she moved to Dexter, Maine. After five years in Maine they bought a sailboat and then for the next six years they sailed from Florida down through the Panama Canal and eventually back to San Diego, Calif. They traded the sailboat for an RV and toured the United States for over a year and in 2005 settled down in Seward, Kan. Ken died on March 6, 2016, and Dell moved to Great Bend.


Dell was a Catholic. She enjoyed sewing and made many crazy quilts. She also enjoyed fashion. She loved keeping in touch with her family through Facebook.


Dell was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Florido Remedio and sister Aurora Remedio. She is survived by brothers Ben Remedio, Clarito Remedio, Edito Remedio and sister Glineta Remedio. She has many nephews, nieces and extended family in the Philippines. She also has family in Skiatook, Okla.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
